We have been putting product in the field since 2017.
The trials have been designed to result in the products we have today. Every year we are able to find new ways to adjust and increase efficiencies. Farmers that participate in our trials have been great at asking hard questions. They want a product that covers as many potential issues as possible with a single application. The first year was focused on getting the microbes to successfully bond with the plant and translocate to the areas where they are most needed. The second year we focused on ease of use and farmer compatibility. The third year was integrating their suggestions to enhance the product viability and to address crop specific issues. This third year was transformative for us as we really focused on creating a line up of products that would be crop specific as not all crops want the same things and if it was beneficial in soybeans it may inhibit something in corn or small grain.
This third year of development was critical in the creation of our crop specific lineup of products. The fourth year has been spent proving product efficacy and allowing the producers to really test and challenge our products in the really world. We discovered that the farmers with the most intense management strategies saw the best results. We are building a juggernaut that needs to be tended and kept happy. We had a field with a 30+ pod per plant increase on September 1, 2020 that did not fill any more beans than the untreated plants. The field ran out of gas. The nutrition was unable to get to where it was needed and we left "ghost bushels" unfilled in the field.
This demonstrates the need for collaboration with your agronomist and detailing your expectations from your fields.
Don't leave yield potential hanging unfulfilled in your fields.
This is a content preview space you can use to get your audience interested in what you have to say so they can’t wait to learn and read more. Pull out the most interesting detail that appears on the page and write it here.
Our Trials since 2017 have demonstrated that the plants are more advanced at every stage. This leads to an increase in pod counts per plant an increase in test weights and overall yield. We have evaluated the effect every year and have adjusted the formulation each year to better support yield. Special projects teams have been tasked for this year to evaluate wether it is time to go to regional formulations.
We see consistent increased root production both early and throughout the season in almost every application. We are seeing increases in early girth and leaf area that follows through the entire season in almost every variety. This is especially beneficial in the forage space with silage and biomass production. With the increase in root mass and better stalk vascularization early we are documenting better cob set and increased ability to fill the kernels.
Early in-furrow or seed coat application is resulting in a dramatic increase in root mass early that allows for an increase in uptake and distribution of water and nutrition to the plant. Application prior to joint is resulting in additional tillers with heads that create more inches of head per acre. Application at any stage prior to flag leaf is causing an increase in leaf surface area allowing for increased carbon assimilation and grain production. With greater grain an increase in fertilization is critical to reach the new potentials.
Protein increases are seen with applications prior to flag leaf and can be realized with an application timing of as late a flag leaf.
Canola application is best timed early. Application at emergence or in-furrow has seen 30% increases in leaf size in as little as 9 days after emergence or application. This presents throughout the lifecycle causing an increase in prebuilt and pre-flower leafmass and solar potential. Bolt and branching is increased allowing for increased flowers and seed production. The root mass increase seen at early application is critical to providing the necessary building blocks to successful yield enhancement.
Our Market Partner YieldMaster Solutions has conducted hundreds of trials across the United States and will continue to engage producers to target products that give them the greatest advantage.
2021 will see the introduction of a membership site that will allow producers to signup for on-farm trials and to participate in the creation of new and exciting products targeted to their area and focused on their success on a field by field basis.
New products not available to the current market and the ability to help steer development with be in all producers best interest as everyone has their own challenges and successes based on their location, practices and equipment.
