Forage Biomass maximization is critical to maximizing your ROI. Feed is the largest input to any livestock or Dairy operation. Proper management of your resources will be reflected in your overall profitability. Agrovive products can be an essential part of your feed and ration program through corn silage, haylage, alfalfa or pasture management.
Our IONfx line of products are well suited to the development of increased biomass without loss of nutritional value. We have worked closely with producers to maximize the microbial consortia to improve root mass to support taller plants, increased nutritional and water scavenging and the ability to reduce lodging.
The stalk is supported through a reorganization of vascularized bundles to reduce inhibition of movement and maintain a homeostasis in the plant to support increased heat unit capture. This will allow your plants to better manage heat and dry conditions through better plant vigor.
We support leaf surface area and an increase in the thickness of the leaves themselves. This allows for an increase in cytoplasmic storage of energy. This will allow for your plants to support the increased tonnage in your fields.
Always with your fields closely, depending upon genetics your plants can mature and enter dry down faster than unbounded plants and you can be caught off guard with your corn reaching maximum moisture before traditional harvest dates. (Corn silage has been seen to be at 65% moisture 7 days prior to the untreated in side by side trial.)
Increases in small grain and grass tonnage and quality have been seen across the entire country from triticale, timothy grass, oats, rye, and Switch grass all showing response to the bonding of our microbial products.
Alfalfa whether treated on the seed or foliar applied will bond with the plant and translocate to the structure that each microbe was selected for. This will impact root development, branching, leaf width, surface area, and the ethylene blocker will work to give you more time before the plant transitions to a less desirable flowered state.
We always recommend walking your fields during growth to monitor for infections and insect pressure.
With the increase in sugar and energy stored your plants will exhibit insect pressures earlier than traditionally seen and will allow you to recognize and treat for those pressures in a more timely manner.
We impact growth early with a robust root system and a larger girth of plant that in the seed coat and in-furrow application can be visible as early as V#. This increase in healthy biomass will continue to silage harvest. With the increase in tonnage available per acre you will want to implement a robust soil testing program to avoid "mining" the nutrients from the soil over time.
Benefit to green chop and haulage in tillering plants is most significant with a seed coat application. Advantageous tillering will result in an immediate increase in biomass potential. Application can be made up to and including flag leaf, with the benefit being realized in leaf mass, protein and kernel production. We have observed up to a 20% increase in biomass with a flag leaf application and only two weeks between application of foliar to harvest of the triticale.
Seed Coat is only available on Alforex brand seed. The effect of a seed coat seed will be realized throughout the entire first season without an additional application of foliar needed until second year.
Foliar application of alfajoule / Prymer copay is recommended between each cutting to replenish the aboveground translocated microbes. Application can be made as soon as a pass across the file dis logistically possible. This product can be applied by chemigation.
Application after last cutting will allow the plants to enter dormancy with a fresh compliment of root microbes and a well managed energy supply that will help to mitigate winter kill in areas prone to extreme temperature variability.
We hope you visit our reference site for alpha joule.
Seed Coat or in-furrow application is always preferred when your goal is biomass maximization. This supports the greatest increase in root mass and initial biomass production that will provide benefit throughout the growing season. Everyone wants to see reduced weed pressure due to faster canopy close.
Early application is key to biomass production so we recommend a pass prior to V3. Foliar application is primarily above ground with reduced root enhancement. This will still provide improved tonnage in leaf mass but will not exhibit the same increase in stalk and or stem increase that would have been available as an nosed application.
We have seen beneficial results in silage fields in nearly every case for the last 4 years. We have impacted tonnage, leaf mass, quality, and reduced time to harvest allowing for a cover crop to be planted for additional forage potential same season.
Small grain haulage and green s=chop have been a phenol=minal use of our products. We have treated everything from oats, barley, triticale, timothy grass, teff grass, rye, sudan grass and have s=consistently improved both yield and quality.
Seed coat is by far the best method of application with in-furrow being a close second only due to equipment availability. The applicant of Crownfx to the seed causes a rapid response to support rooting and tillering that is not possible without the use of a biostimulant. We race to the water and bring into play a scavenging system that winds the nutrients and packs them away. We are able to support the next phase of grot=wth and tillering by supplying the water and nutrition to close canopy faster and to allow for rapid energy production and storage in the leaves. This storage makes it possible to achieve yield increases without the loss of quality.
Drought tolerance in western South Dakota has been a key selling point in our home state with producers being able to increase yields in dryland drought areas by over 40%. The effect was even pronounced under pivot as seen below in the images..
